16. Present Academic Activities
Research in progress
PROSAFE project – Promoting patient safety and quality improvement in critical .1
care. a European project involving 8 partners from Cyprus, Germany, Hungary, Italy,
Poland, Slovenia, United Kingdom and an external collaboration with Brazil. I serve
as the Israeli administrator and coordinator center with plans to expand the project
to other PICU in Israel.
Central Line project: Ongoing longitudinal prospective study (started nov 2009) on .2
central venous and arterial line related complications in cildren admitted to the
PICU.
Hematological and biochemical markers for early detection of central venous line .3
related venous thrombosis.
Parental anxiety project- Factors contriburing to parental anxiety of children .4
admitted to the PICU. How does early nurse based intervention approach effect the
anxiety level of parents from different ethnic groups (native Jewish Israeli, Beduin,
previously USSR born) – collaboration with pediatric psychiatry trauma service.
CREACTIVE – National coordinator, International coordinator of Pediatric Sub-study .5
and steering committee member. CREACTIVE is an International multicenter study
on acute and long term outcome of patients with Traumatic Brain Injury admitted to
the intensive Care Unit.
